Seshasayee Paper and Boards Ltd has reported a 68 per cent jump in net profit during the fourth quarter of 2013-14 as compared with the corresponding quarter previously.
For the quarter ended March 31, 2014, the paper manufacturer reported a net profit of ₹ 12.21 crore (₹ 7.27 crore) on a turnover of ₹ 257.89 crore (₹ 191.04 crore).
Paper and notebook sales were at 47,408 tonnes (50,147 tonnes). Exports were at 5,739 tonnes (8,444 tonnes).
During 2013-14 the net profit was ₹ 26.79 crore (₹20.51 crore) on a turnover of ₹ 1062.40 crore (₹ 875.40 crore).
Sales during the year were 1.77 lakh tonnes (1.70 lakh tonnes).
On the BSE the company’s shares of ₹ 10 closed 8 per cent higher at ₹ 224.90 (₹ 208.35).
