Toshiba India has expanded its LED TV range with two more models.

According to Sanjay Warke, Country Head, Toshiba India, India is one of the most promising and fastest growing LED TV markets in the world. An extensive study by the company revealed that consumers in tier II and tier III cities want to upgrade to a big flat panel TV from their old CRT (cathode ray tube) model, but without burning a hole in their pocket. “We hope, our new 29-inch LED TVs would fit well in their budget,” says a release from the company, quoting Warke.

As an introductory offer, the new TVs are priced at Rs 23,000 (for model 29PB200) and Rs 24,000 (29PU200). The products will be made available across the country, according to the release.

Toshiba India Pvt Ltd is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Toshiba Corporation of Japan. The company has business interest in areas such as IT (laptops) and multi-functional peripherals (copiers and printers), home appliances (refrigerators and washing machine).
