United Spirits has decided to put off declaration of its annual results for 2013-14 after its audit committee sought certain clarifications on the draft financial results.
In a notice to the BSE, the company has said it could not hold its board meeting on August 1 to consider the audited financial results for the year ended March 31, 2014, because the audit committee of the board has sought certain clarifications and information on the draft financial results and related issues.
In the absence of such clarifications and information, it could not complete the review with the management and it would require some more time to do so. Therefore, the board decided to adjourn the meeting to a later date, which will be informed to the BSE once it is finalised.
