Asian Granito plans 100 stores by 2014-end

Leading tile company Asian Granito India Ltd (AGL) plans to ramp up the network of its exclusive showrooms under ‘AGL Tiles World’ across India by increasing the number to 100 by December 2014.

The listed company has already set up 44 such showrooms, Kamlesh Patel, Chairman and Managing Director, said on Wednesday. 

AGL is also the first Indian tile company to have set up an exclusive and the largest tiles showroom in Johannesburg, South Africa, that spreads across 7,000 square feet, he said

The Ahmedabad-based AGL has emerged among the top five tile makers in India and its turnover was Rs 796 crore in 2012-13. Its products, available in India through 4,000 dealers and sub-dealers, are priced between Rs 250 and Rs 1,900 per square metre, he added.

Patel said AGL’s manufacturing capacity has been expanded 32-fold from 2,500 sq mt per day in the year 2000 to 81,000 sq mt now, including outsourcing. The company exports its products to 40 countries.
