Reliance MediaWorks has appointed Mr Ashok Ganapathy as CEO of its cinema exhibition division, Big Cinemas.
Mr Ganapathy will head the chain's 550 screens across India, USA, Malaysia, Nepal and Netherlands.
He joins from RPG Group's retail arm, Spencer Retail. Prior to RPG, he spent 19 years with the Unilever Group in India and Vietnam.
Mr Anil Arjun, CEO, Reliance MediaWorks, noted that the appointment was in tune with Big Cinemas adopting a “retail-centric approach.”
