Bilcare Ltd has announced that United Drug plc has completed of the acquisition of its Global Clinical Supplies (GCS) businesses in the US and the UK.
In late August, Bilcare had announced it was selling its GCS businesses in the US and the UK for $61 million, while retaining its GCS business in Asia. Going forward United Drug and Bilcare GCS Asia will work together to use their complementary resources to meet the needs of their global customers across US, Europe and Asia.
The sale will allow Bilcare GCS Asia to leverage United Drug's capabilities and resources in US and Europe and meet customer requirements in those regions. It will continue to build scale by servicing the Asia-specific needs of United Drug's customers in US and Europe.
