Central Coalfields Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of Coal India Ltd, has registered one per cent increase in coal production to 48.01 million tonnes in 2011-12.
Coal production in 2010-11 stood at 47.52 mt. Dispatch was up by three per cent at 47.63 mt. The overburden removal was 65.65 million cubic meter, said a press statement issued by the company.
