The Union Ministry of Petroleum and National Gas has appointed H Kumar as Managing Director of Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Ltd (MRPL).
The company informed the stock exchanges that it has received an order, dated August 7, from the Ministry appointing H Kumar as MD of MRPL for five years from the date of his assumption of charge of the post or till the date of his superannuation or until further orders, whichever is the earliest.
Kumar is the Executive Director (corporate strategy and planning) of HPCL.
PP Upadhya, who was MD of MRPL, superannuated on July 31.
