Kolkata-based Daiwik Hotels Pvt Ltd will open five upmarket hotels for pilgrims by 2015. With an investment of Rs 180 crore in the first phase, the company has launched its first pilgrim hotel at Rameswaram.
The other four upcoming hotels will be in Tirupati, Katra (Jammu and Kashmir), Varanasi and Dwarka.
According to Mr Debashis Ghosal, MD and CEO, the company is eyeing to tap the tremendous growth in the pilgrimage tourism industry.
