Pharma major Dr Reddy’s Laboratories Ltd has launched Ezetimibe and Simvastatin tablets in the US market.
The product is a therapeutic equivalent of generic version of Vytorin (Ezetimibe and Simvastatin) tablets, a registered trademark of MSD International GmbH, the Hyderabad-based Dr Reddy’s said in a release issued here on Thursday.
The drug is indicated along with a proper diet to help lower "bad" cholesterol and fats.
The Vytorin brand had US sales of approximately $678 million for the 12 months ended in February 2017, according to IMS Health.
