The drug price notification process currently under way will be completed by next month, according to Shambhu Kallolikar, Joint Secretary, Department of Pharmaceuticals, Govt of India.
Speaking at a conference on the pharma industry organised by the Assocham here on Friday, the official said with the last week’s notification for 71 drugs, prices were notified for 222 drugs so far.
"About 14 drug prices will be notified today or tomorrow. We expect to complete notifications for all 348 identified drugs (involving 600 formulations) by next month, Kallolikar said.
