Under the MoU, the GMR subsidiary will provide services ranging from programme management, testing and commissioning of airport systems, to development of aeronautical and non-aeronautical revenue streams.

Srinivas Bommidala, Business Chairman Airports, GMR Group said, “GMR Group is the world’s fourth largest private airport developer and possesses end-to-end capabilities in the airport space. In line with our Asset Light Asset Right strategy, GMR has been engaging in offering consultancy services to airport companies in West Asia and South-East Asia. We are honoured that Oman Airport Management Company has signed a comprehensive MoU with GADL, aimed at knowledge-sharing and skills development for the OAMC staff.”

GMR will provide on-site support for six months at Salalah Airport, which will help the OAMC team to learn and adapt some of the best practices of Delhi and Hyderabad airports.

The OAMC team may also undergo trainings at GMR Aviation Academy, one among a few academies to have received the coveted RTCE certification.

The company said Aviation Consultancy is becoming a steady revenue stream for GMR, with the completion of four international projects and more in the pipeline.
