Gourmet foods retailer Godrej Nature’s Basket today said it is expanding its omni-channel footprint with three new stores, taking the total number of physical stores to 36.

The new stores have been launched in the key growing markets of Gurgaon, Pune and Mumbai, the company said in a statement.

“Godrej Nature’s Basket has been a pioneer in the gourmet space for a while now and through our successful pan-India online operations, we have been able to hit our targeted revenue levels,” Godrej Nature’s Basket MD Mohit Khattar said.

“We are happy to introduce one new store each in Pune, Mumbai and Gurgaon in order to cater to the needs of discerning consumers better in select catchments in these cities,” he added.

In the last one year, the chain has expanded some of its existing stores in key markets moving to larger spaces.

Besides, the retail chain has consistently grown in its e-commerce business since the launch of its pan-India operations in September 2015. The store is now operational in 125 Indian cities across 3,000 pin codes.

Through the new omni-channel strategy, Nature’s Basket is looking to tap into new emerging markets across India. As a result, the orders are widely spread catering to tier-II and tier-III cities, it said.

Despite the fact that it delivers only non-perishable products in tier-II and tier-III cities, the average spend on an order is Rs 1,500, it pointed out.
