“The Government of India’s Wall Calendar for 2013” which was launched on Friday features various flagship programmes of the Government, which includes Aadhaar based Direct Cash Transfer Scheme to be implemented in 51 districts from January among others. The calendar is printed and designed by Directorate of Advertising and Visual Publicity (DAVP) of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, which has over the years worked on developing social advertising brand “Bharat Nirman”.

The theme of the calendar is ‘Bharat Nirman- Sabka hit, Sabka Haq’. Minister for Information & Broadcasting Manish Tewari said that the calendar as a tool of communication played an important role in disseminating information regarding the policies of the Government despite the fact that media platforms were enhancing their reach through digital means of communication. “We dedicate this calendar to aam aadmi ,” he said.
