Gulf Oil Corporation Ltd has launched a high performance, fully synthetic passenger car motor oil specially recommended for use in luxury cars and utility vehicles.
Part of the $23-billion Hinduja Group, Gulf Oil claims that the product’s superior formulation and performance benefits are proven by its endorsement by the Aston Martin Racing team, Gulf’s worldwide motorsport partner.
Ravi Chawla, President and CEO of Gulf Oil Lubricants division, in a statement said, “Car owners looking for better overall performance can now opt for the specially formulated Gulf Formula GX. It is synthetic motor oil that offers several performance benefits, including improved fuel economy, lower oil consumption, wear protection and cold starting and high temperature running."
Synthetic oils have better longevity and the ability to protect the engine from extreme wear and tear. Moreover, they provide high performance in extreme climatic conditions by not breaking down at high temperatures and remaining fluid at low temperatures.
The product is approved for use by global auto majors such as BMW, Mercedes Benz and Volkswagen. The oil also meets the requirements of other major automakers such as General Motors, Porsche and Renault.
