Harsh Wardhan appointed Topsgrup India Vice Chairman and CEO

Indian security giant Topsgrup, which owns Tops Security Ltd and The Shield Guarding Company Ltd in the UK, has appointed Harsh Wardhan as Vice Chairman and CEO for its Indian operations.

Wardhan has been recognised as one of the most notable security professionals in India, earning an award as the Best Security Professional by the then Home Minister of India Shivraj Patil, the Company said in a statement.

“As the Indian business head of Topsgrup, I will work towards achieving our group business objectives, delivering quality in whatever we do and ensuring that our customers and stake holders remain delighted with our performance and sustained market leadership,” Wardhan said.

Prior to joining Topsgrup, he was the CEO of Jindal Urban Infrastructure and was in charge of Rs 800 crores of committed investments, within the $ 15 billion Group.

He has also worked with UB Group, PepsiCo, Shaw Wallace and IndoRama.

Topsgrup Global Chairman Diwan Rahul Nanda said, “With Harsh’s multi-faceted experience as a business leader in progressive Indian organisations, his cross-industry experience spanning 16 years, I am confident that his appointment would prove invaluable and beneficial to our thousands of customers, employees and business partners”.

Topsgrup employs more than 90,000 employees in India and the UK and partners over 8,000 customers with operations in five countries.

With projected revenues of Rs 1,200 crores for 2012-13, Topsgrup is geared to organically and inorganically grow its businesses and consolidate its position as the largest Indian Security Group, the statement said.
