HCC posts ₹24-cr profit in Q4

Mumbai-based HCC, on a standalone basis, posted a net profit of ₹24 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2014, against a loss of ₹50 crore logged in the same period last year. Turnover was up 20 per cent at ₹1,184 crore (₹982 crore). Operating profit rose 92 per cent to ₹170 crore (₹89 crore) with EBITDA margins at 15 per cent against 9 per cent. For the full year, turnover was ₹4,113 crore (₹3,837 crore) and net profit was ₹81 crore (₹138 crore). On Friday, the company scrip closed 7 per cent higher at ₹20.40 on the BSE.
