Hyundai posts marginal rise in sales

Hyundai clocked a cumulative volume of 59,590 units registering a growth of 7.7 per cent on the strong performance of Grand i10, new Elite i20, new 2018 Creta and next gen Verna.

Hyundai Motor India (HMIL) had sold 43,481 units in July, marginally up from 43,007 units sold in the same month last year.

According to a company statement, exports stood at 16,109 units during the month, up 31 per cent, against 12,308 units in July last year.

"Hyundai continues its strong growth trajectory with a cumulative volume of 59,590 units registering a growth of 7.7 per cent on the strong performance of Grand i10, new Elite i20, new 2018 Creta and next gen Verna. A positive growth trend is visible with the stabilisation of macro-economic factors, good monsoon along with increase in customer confidence and sentiment towards new vehicle purchase," Y K Koo, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, HMIL, said.
