The country's second largest car manufacturer and largest car exporter, Hyundai Motor India (HMIL), on Saturday said it will increase the prices of all its models, except the newly launched SUV Creta.

The price increase would be up to Rs 30,000 and come into effect from August 1, the company said in a statement.

BusinessLine had written last month that car companies may hike prices because of currency fluctuations and high input costs.

"The price increase has been necessitated by increase of input costs. We have been absorbing most of the costs, but now we are constrained to consider the price increase in these challenging market environment," Rakesh Srivastava, Senior Vice-President, Sales and Marketing, HMIL, said.
