IVRCL bags orders worth Rs 653 cr; scrip jumps 2.4%

IVRCL Ltd has announced that its irrigation, water and buildings divisions have secured orders valued at Rs 652.65 crore.

While the orders worth Rs 512.83 crore were for irrigation works in Andhra Pradesh and Gujarat, the buildings division’s orders worth Rs103.82 crore were for works in Haryana, Tamil Nadu and Kerala.

The water division has secured an order worth Rs 36 crore for civil, structural and piling work at the OPAL project of ONGC at Dahej, the company said in a statement to the stock exchanges.

The scrip jumped 2.44 per cent to Rs 46.20 after the announcement of new orders.

The shares were down about 12 per cent on Monday after the company's net profit for the fourth quarter fell 92 per cent.
