Joy Bandekar to lead Ola's New Initiatives

Taxi hailing app Ola has appointed Joy Bandekar as Corporate President to lead New Initiatives.

​Bandekar, who joins Ola from Flipkart, has over 20 years of experience across various industries, including 10 years in e-commerce across India and South East Asia. ​He will be focusing on New Initiatives for the company.

With a Masters in Business Management and a degree in Mechanical Engineering, ​Bandekar has worked with large Indian and multinational organisations like Kirloskar, Reliance Industries, Maxworth Orchards and Atcom Technologies in his career spanning over 20 years.

He is a seasoned hand in the Internet industry, having spent the last ten years in various roles, with organisations like eBay Inc and Flipkart​, the company said in a statement​.
