Pune-based engines and agricultural pump sets maker Kirloskar Oil Engines Ltd (KOEL) plans to launch a range of smart farm mechanisation machines to help improve agri-productivity.

Only a small fraction of farmers can afford the expensive farm mechanisation options available today.

“Very soon we plan to launch a smart farm mechanisation machine, which not only will cater to the mechanisation needs but also ensure that farming is economically viable. The idea is to do more with less,” Antony Cherukara, Vice President, Strategy & Head of Agri & Allied Business, KOEL, said in a statement.

Kirloskar also plans to introduce a range of farm mechanisation products. “We are expanding our dealer network to meet and service the growing requirements of our farmers,” he added.
