Mahindra First Choice Wheels said that the company would also start selling pre-owned light commercial vehicles in the near future.

The company also said that it would add another 100 outlets next year to go up to 500 dealers in 2015. It plans to expand this number to 1,000 outlets over the next three years.

As part of its expansion plans, Mahindra First Choice Wheels on Friday opened its 400th outlet here, which is the 34th dealership in Delhi/ NCR.

“Over the last seven years we have not only emerged as Indian’s leading used car company but have also contributed to the creation of a used car ecosystem by bridging wholesale and retail channels while leveraging physical and online infrastructure,” Rajeev Dubey, President (Group HR, Corporate Services and After-market) and member of the Group Executive Board, Mahindra & Mahindra, told reporters here.

Apart from the company selling pre-owned cars through brick and mortar model, it is also selling through electronic mode called ‘Autobid’ where it auctions the pre-owned cars to interested dealers every week.

The company also launched a new platform called the ‘Indian Blue Book’, which can be used by individuals also to determine the value of their used cars. By putting the engine and chassis numbers, the tool can help them to tell a calculated value of a particular vehicle.
