Myntra appoints Prasad Kompalli chief strategy officer

Leading fashion portal Myntra has appointed Prasad Kompalli as its first Chief Strategy Officer. Prasad will set up and head the corporate strategy and business analytics team at Myntra. This will help the firm develop an overall strategy for long-term, sustainable growth and market leadership.

Commenting on the new appointment, Mukesh Bansal, CEO, Myntra said: “In this role Prasad will drive various new initiatives and chart the company's long-term business strategy and operational alignment. We see Prasad playing a crucial role in helping Myntra become dominant and profitable.”

Prasad joins Myntra from SAP Labs, where he was Senior Vice-President of Technology and Innovation Platform. He was one of the top 200 global leaders at SAP and held strategy and general management roles. He was leading an international team of 600 engineers developing key technology products in the areas of mobility, business process management and EAI.

He holds eight patents in the mobility and integration areas. He is also the founder of a company which develops active medical implants for emerging markets and has also been consulting with companies in the areas of product and technology strategy, organisation building, customer engagement and evangelism.
