NCC posts Rs 41-cr net profit

NCC Ltd has posted a net profit of Rs 41.21 crore in the first quarter ended June 30, 2015 against a loss of Rs 3.03 crore in the corresponding quarter last year on a standalone basis, thereby getting back into profitability mode.

The Hyderabad-based infrastructure and construction company has achieved a turnover of Rs 1,774.53 crore (including other income) in the first quarter against Rs 1,535.24 crore, an increase of 16 per cent, in the corresponding quarter of the previous year.

The company has reported earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation of Rs 158.44 crore during Q1 aganst Rs 108.98 crore in the same period last year. The EPS stood at Rs 0.74 (Rs 0.09).

On a consolidated basis, the company has reported a turnover of Rs 2,046.75 crore during the first quarter against Rs 1,828.54 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year, resulting in a growth of 12 per cent.

Net profit during the period under review stood at Rs 2.58 crore against a loss of Rs 20.52 crore reported in the corresponding quarter of the previous year.

During the current year, NCC has so far secured orders aggregating Rs 1,278 crore with the order book at Rs 18,727 crore as at the end of the quarter.
