Following the promoters' agreement among Jammu & Kashmir State Power Development Corporation Ltd, NHPC and PTC India Ltd signed on December 31, 2010, a joint venture company named Chenab Valley Power Projects Pvt Ltd has been incorporated on June 13, 2011.
The joint venture company will implement Pakal Dul and other hydroelectric projects with an aggregate installed capacity of about 2,100 MW in the Chenab river basin of Jammu & Kashmir.
The paid-up equity share capital in the company shall be contributed by NHPC, Jammu & Kashmir State Power Development Corporation Ltd and PTC India Ltd in the ratio of 49:49:2 respectively.
