NTPC Ltd has reported a 7.7 per cent drop in its net profit for the fourth quarter of fiscal 2015-16 at ₹ 2,716.41 crore.
In the same quarter last year, the company had a net profit of ₹ 2,944.03 crore.
During the quarter, the company’s net revenue also dropped 6.1 per cent to ₹ 18,112.62 crore compared with ₹ 19,308.65 crore in the same quarter last year.
At 3.24 pm, NTPC shares were trading 2.93 per cent higher on the BSE at ₹ 144.
