PK Mohapatra has taken over as Regional Executive Director (South) of NTPC Ltd at Secunderabad today. Currently serving as Regional Executive Director (Western Region-II) of NTPC at Raipur in Chhattisgarh, he will hold additional charge as RED (South), according to a statement.
A mechanical engineer from Regional Engineering College Rourkela, Mohapatra joined NTPC in 1980 as an executive trainee. While he served in a number of roles, Mohapatra as head of Sipat played a pivotal role in installing NTPC's first Super Critical Technology-based 660 MW unit project.
