REpower Systems SE, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Suzlon Group is set for a change of name, and from 2014 will be named Senvion.

The Hamburg based company REpower has been using its name under licence from a Swiss company since 2001, which is now using this name itself.

Andreas Nauen, CEO, REpower Systems SE, said: “This is an important development for us. In addition to having unique products and services, we will also be the only company with this name. Senvion may be associated with ‘innovation’, ‘energy’ and ‘wind’, and this underlines our focus on renewable energies.”

The transition to the new corporate design will take place in the New Year.

REpower Systems SE, develops, produces and markets wind turbines for almost any location – with rated outputs of 1.8 MW to 6.15 MW and rotor diameters ranging from 82 m to 126 m as well as provides solutions in the areas of turnkey, service and maintenance, transport and installation, as well as foundation planning and construction.
