Suven Life Sciences Ltd has obtained one patent each from Australia and Eurasia for its New Chemical Entities (NCEs) for the treatment of disorders associated with neurodegenerative diseases.
The granted claims of the patents include the class of selective 5-HT compounds discovered by the Hyderabad-based company and were being developed as therapeutic agents, the company said in a release.
The compounds were useful in the treatment of cognitive impairment associated with neurodegenerative disorders such as Alzheimer’s disease, attention deficient hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), Huntington’s disease, Parkinsons and schizophrenia, it added.
