Tata Motors refreshes Indica eV2; lures with price cut

Tata Motors, India’s largest automobile company, has slashed the prices of its entry-level car Indica eV2 and launched a refreshed version.

The prices of Indica eV2 has been reduced by Rs 23,000. The range is priced at Rs 4,01,162 (ex-showroom Delhi) for the base variant and going upto Rs 487,619 (ex-showroom Delhi) for the top-end variant, the company said in a statement.

The eV2 is available in three variants -- eV2 LE (base model), eV2 LS and eV2 LX (top-end variant).

The car, with a mileage of 25 kilometre per litre (Automotive Research Association of India certified), is the most fuel-efficient car in its class. The Indica eV2 is being launched with new exteriors, refreshed interiors and additional features, it added.

Equipped with the CR4 Common Rail Diesel engine, the eV2 has a displacement of 1,396 cc. The car is also available in petrol version (with an MPFI engine) and both engines are compliant with BS4 emission norms.

Tata Motors is offering a warranty of 24 months or 75,000 kms, whichever is earlier.

The enhanced its exterior with new headlamps, front bumper, grille and a sporty rear spoiler with integrated stop lamp. It also has alloy wheels, Auto-Drive Assist and Clutch-To-Start features among others.

The interior has been spruced up with large seats, wood finish centre console and host of other features like power windows, keyless entry, Bluetooth-enabled music system, 4 spoke collapsible steering wheel, tachometer, and front and rear fog lamps among others.
