Jewellery retailer Tribhovandas Bhimji Zaveri (TBZ) plans to open 16 stores during the current fiscal.

The retailer is launching a free summer camp on jewellery education for women to help them identify genuine quality jewellery.

In a filing with the stock exchanges, the Mumbai-based jeweller said since it went public in May 2012, it has opened 12 stores in cities like Pune, Mumbai, Kolkata, Vapi, Aurangabad etc.

It now has 26 stores in twenty cities across seven states. During 2013-14, TBZ plans to open 16 stores, taking the number of retail outlets to 42 stores.

Summer camp

The company said that the summer camp for women would be organised at all its stores. The camp aims to educate women in "identifying and selecting genuine quality jewellery items".

To help participants overcome the angst of leaving their kids at home while attending the one-hour session, TBZ has organised parallel programmes for children too during the camp period in May-June.

Kiran Dixit, Group Head-Advertising and Marketing, TBZ Ltd, said women intending to participate in the summer camp could register their names with the nearest TBZ showrooms.

The company, which recently launched Dohra Detachable jewellery collection in gold and diamond at different price ranges and weight, has lined up a range of exquisite collections like temple jewellery, surprises collection, necklace and showstoppers collection for the current season.
