The continuing unrest in Andhra Pradesh over the carving of Telangana from the southern state has ‘impacted’ the Lord at the Tirupati Temple in an unusual way.

Due to the agitation, Ashok Leyland, which launched its multipurpose vehicle “Stile” recently, has been unable to gift the car to the Lord.

“Already the automobile market is facing a downturn. Due to the Telangana stir, we have not been able to gift this product to the Temple,” said Dr V Sumantran, Vice-Chairman, Ashok Leyland, after the launch here on Wednesday.

Earlier, the company had gifted its small commercial vehicle “Dost” to the Temple soon after the launch, he said.
