Private power producer Torrent Power Ltd (TPL) has posted net profit of ₹307 crore for the quarter ended September 30 against ₹148 crore reported in the corresponding quarter a year ago, registering a staggering 107 per cent jump on year-on-year basis.
Total income stood at ₹2,973.25 crore for the quarter under review up from ₹2,728.97 crore in the same quarter a year ago.
For the six months period (April-September 2017), the company registered net profit of ₹505.35 crore, up from ₹191.71 crore in the same period last year.
Total income for six months stood at ₹6053.96 crore against ₹5355.04 crore in the corresponding period last year, the company informed in a filing with the stock exchanges.
