Kolkata-based men’s apparel and accessories maker Turtle Ltd expects to introduce its footwear range next week.
According to Amit Ladsaria, Co-founder & Director, Turtle, initially 50-60 per cent of its stores will have the footwear range.
“We will bring in footwear at our stores in a week’s time,” Ladsaria told reporters here on Tuesday on the sidelines of a conference on retail industry – East India Retail Summit 2013 – organised by Image Group.
The Kolkata-headquartered company – which currently owns Turtle (premium menswear) and London Bridge (mass market) brands – will focus on fashion shoes.
Though the footwear range will be sold through Turtle’s exclusive stores now, the company may consider selling these products at shop-in-shops and departmental stores.
Turtle expects to clock more than 25 per cent growth in turnover this fiscal to Rs 160 crore, Ladsaria said.
