TVS Motor Company on Friday launched all-new commuter motorcycle, TVS StaR City+ priced at Rs. 41,500 (ex-showroom for the base model) and Rs 44,000 (ex-showroom for the fully packed version).
The new motorcycle is an ideal combination of modern styling, superior engine performance and class leading comfort, the company said.
It comes with a host of first-time features, builds on the legacy of the TVS StaR brand, which has more than 4.5 million customers across the country. The 109.7cc power mill of TVS StaR City+ provides an ideal combination of smooth performance, power and fuel economy.
This all new engine delivers better pickup and acceleration and is high in durability.
“A lot of work is done to make this bike consumer friendly,” JS Srinivasan, Vice-President Sales, TVS Motor Company, told reporters here.
He said the new ‘Ecothrust’ engine in the new bike delivers a four stroke performance, churning out 8.4 PS of power at 7,000 rpm with a torque of 8.7 Nm at 5,000 rpm.
High torque ensures more power and pickup, with the motorcycle racing from zero to sixty in just 7.6 seconds with a top speed of 90kmph.
