US FDA gives clean chit to Maggi

House of Spices, importer of Nestle products from India, said late night on Monday, that the US Food and Drug Administration has given a clean chit to Maggi Noodles.

In a post on Facebook, the company wrote, “The US FDA has tested several shipments of Maggi Noodles from India for lead content. Finding no unsafe lead levels, the FDA released the noodles for sale in the United States. Therefore, consumers can continue to buy Maggi Noodles with confidence.”

On its website, Nestle India has said that it exports Maggi Noodles to Nestle in Canada, the UK, Singapore and Kenya and to third parties in the US, Australia and New Zealand.
