Voltas aims at 20% revenue growth from AC sales

Voltas Ltd said it expects revenues from air-conditioners to increase by 20 per cent in the current fiscal, as it aimed to sell one million units. Voltas Unitary Products Business Group (UPBG) Chief Operating Officer, Pradeep Bakshi, said the company would be looking to expand the growth of its products in tier 2 and tier 3 markets. Last year, the company sold eight lakh AC units, he added. Bakshi also said the company was not increasing the prices of its products. Voltas has launched its new ‘all weather ACs’ line-up, which includes features like insta-cool compressor, active dehumidifier, super dust guard and intelligent heating. The company will also launch a new marketing campaign.
