Welspun gives Rs 1 cr for Uttarakhand relief work

In line with its commitment to fulfill its social responsibility, the Welspun Group has contributed Rs 1 crore towards relief work in Uttarakhand.

The company has decided to aid in the rescue of stranded pilgrims and locals who have lost everything to the calamity. Vineet Mittal, Co-Founder and Managing Director, Welspun Energy, handed over the contribution to the Prime Minister's Relief Fund.

Commenting on the initiative, Balkrishan Goenka, Chairman and Managing Director, Welspun Group said, "In everything we do, there is a strong commitment to wider, all-round social progress. Along with various government agencies, non government organisations and armed forces, we at Welspun Group are doing our bit to help in rescue operations in the grief stricken state.''
