SM Choudhary took over as Director (Finance) of Western Coalfields Ltd, the Nagpur-based subsidiary of Coal India Ltd.
Prior to assuming the charge, he was General Manager (in-charge) of CIL.
A Chartered Accountant, Cost & Management Accountant and a Company Secretary, Choudhary’s career in coal industry spans over three decades.
He is also the recipient of Special Achievement Award for the formulation of a unique financial scheme related to mine closure plan.
