Chief Ministers of a number of States including those from Gujarat, Bihar, Tamil Nadu and West Bengal today skipped the meeting of the Prime Minister-led National Integration Council here.
Among those who skipped the meeting were the Gujarat Chief Minister, Mr Narendra Modi, Bihar’s Chief Minister, Mr Nitish Kumar, the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister, Ms J. Jayalalithaa, the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister, Ms Mayawati, West Bengal’s Ms Mamata Banerjee and Punjab’s Mr Parkash Singh Badal.
The meeting was attended by senior Union Ministers, Chief Ministers, Leaders of Opposition in Parliament, leaders of national and regional political parties among others.
