Net direct tax collections up 14.6% in Apr-Nov

The Centre’s net direct tax collections grew 14.60 per cent in April-November to Rs 3,10,317 crore (against Rs 2,70,771 crore in the same period last year).

Gross direct tax collections for the period under review increased 13.18 per cent to Rs 3, 68,655 crore (Rs 3,25,736 crore), an official release said.

Gross corporate tax collections recorded 9.66 per cent increase at Rs 2,25,124 crore (Rs 2,05,291 crore). Personal income tax collections (gross) are up 19.60 per cent at Rs 1,39,763 crore (Rs 1,16,862 crore). Securities transaction tax collections grew 4.73 per cent to Rs 3,053 crore during April-November this year, while wealth tax collections were up 13.38 per cent to Rs 712 crore (Rs 628 crore).
