Vodafone too has also filed a writ petition in the Bombay High Court on a share valuation issue.

On Thursday, Shell India filed a writ petition before the Bombay High Court challenging a transfer pricing order on alleged under-pricing of Rs 15,000 crore on the shares issued by the Indian unit to an overseas group entity, Shell Gas BV.

The matter is likely to come up for hearing on May 3, it is learnt.

In the case of Shell India, the income-tax department had challenged the valuation methodology on the 87 crore shares issued by the Indian unit and pegged the value of shares of Rs 180 instead of Rs 10.
