Norway will fund a Rs 25-crore climate change research and adaptation project in Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu. Under the project, ClimaAdapt, selected farmers in the two States will be taught methods to mitigate the effects climate change on agriculture.

The other four partners in the consortium set up for the purpose are International Water Management Institute, M S Swaminathan Research Foundation, Bioforsk and WRO.

“The four-year project beginning this year would cover the farmers in the Krishna basin and Cauvery basin in Tamil Nadu.
