Synthite Industries Ltd has bagged the award for outstanding performance in the export of spice oils and oleoresins from the Spices Board for 2009-10 and 2010-11.

A pioneer in oleoresins and leader in plant derived natural solutions industry, the company commands over 30 per cent share of the global market. It had recorded a turnover of Rs 800 crore for 2011-12 fiscal.

The Ernakulam-based company was started in 1972 with a single product and has grown to become the world’s most trusted spice ingredient provider with a product bouquet comprising more than 500 varieties.

A press release issued here said that Synthite transforms a multitude of pure plant spices into flavour and fragrance ingredients, colorants and nutraceuticals. The company has six manufacturing plants in India and owns a private industrial park called Synthite Taste Park.

The company has offices in the US, Europe, China and Sri Lanka and are geared up to attain a target of Rs 3,000 crore by 2020. The company has six business verticals – Bio Ingredients, Spice, Farm Tech, Hospitality, Realty and Wind Energy.
