TNAU student chosen for UN programme bl-premium-article-image

The South Asian Youth Environment Network of UN Environment Programme (UNEP) has selected Ms Archana Jayaraman, a third-year B. Tech student of Tamil Nadu Agricultural University as the sub-regional Youth Advisor of the Tunza programme in Asia and Pacific Region.

Tunza, a Swahili word meaning to treat with care or affection, is the “title of UNEP's long-term strategy on working with young people in environmental issues,” according to the UNEP Web site. Ms Jayaraman, according to a release, will work in India, Pakistan, Maldives, Bhutan, Nepal, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka.
