The Southern Regional Agricultural Fair and State-Level Farmers' Day is scheduled between January 6 and 9 at the farm varsity here.

The Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU) is organising this four-day event in association with the Union Ministry of Agriculture and the TN Government.

The University plans to organise seminars on various critical field issues and crucial topics in agriculture for the benefit of farmers and showcase newly evolved varieties of crops in agriculture, horticulture and farm implements.

And to motivate farmers who have made significant achievement in production, value addition and marketing of agricultural commodity through the University's technological interventions, a cash prize of Rs 10,000, along with a memento and certificate is proposed.
