Rains lashed parts of North India on Friday after a brief lull even as the monsoons remained weak over the region.
The maximum temperature in capital Delhi was recorded at 36.7 degrees celsius, three degrees more than normal and a minimum of 32.2 degrees celsius, five notches above the usual.
The humidity level oscillated between 50 to 73 per cent and some parts of the city received rains. The met department has forecast more rains for tomorrow.
Heavy rains lashed parts of eastern Uttar Pradesh providing respite from the high humidity levels.
Heavy rainfall disrupted normal life in some parts with rain water entering several houses, schools and office buildings in Amethi and Gauriganj area of Chatrapati Shahuji Maharaj Nagar district.
The areas which received showers include Meja, Chhatnag, Fatehpur, Amethi, Kunda, Rai Bareilly, Robertganj, Mirzapur, Patti, Karwi and Ayodhya, the Met office said.
Sitapur, Elgin Bridge, Kakardharighat, Barabanki, Hardoi, Bahraich, Dumariyagang, Kasganj, Varanasi, Bindki, Baberu, Bhatpurvaghat, Chayal, Dharohra and Sirathuuttraula also received rains.
Following incessant rains, water level of many rivers have increased.
The Weatherman has forecast rain and thundershowers at most places over eastern UP and at a few places over the western parts in the next 24 hours.
They have also warned of heavy to very heavy rain at few places over eastern UP in the next 48 hours.
