Air India will introduce a Boeing 747 Jumbo aircraft with a capacity of 423 passengers in the Thiruvananthapuram-Riyadh sector from December 5.
Operations in the sector currently stand suspended and are limited to the Kochi-Riyadh sector after a section of the pilots struck work.
WINTER SCHEDULE
The flights are being introduced in the winter schedule effective from October 28. The flights will operate on Wednesdays and Fridays.
AI 928 will depart Riyadh at 0600 hrs to reach Thiruvananthapuram at 1310 hrs. In the return direction, AI 929 will depart from here at 1440 hrs to arrive at Riyadh at 1645 hrs.
In the international sector, an A-3210 will operate daily in the Thiruvananthapuram-Sharjah-Thiruvananthapuram sector.
Accordingly, AI 967 will depart from here at 1940 hrs to reach Sharjah at 2225 hrs.
In the return direction, AI 968 flight will depart at five minutes past midnight from Sharjah to reach Thiruvananthapuram at 0535 hrs.
The daily Thiruvananthapuram to Male flight and back will also be operated using A-320 aircraft. AI 263 will depart from here at 1010 hrs to reach Male at 1040 hrs.
DOMESTIC SECTOR
In the return direction, AI 264 will depart from Male at 1130 hrs to arrive Thiruvananthapuram at 1300 hrs.
In the domestic sector, Air India will deploy A-321 aircraft for the daily flight from Thiruvananthapuram to Delhi via Kochi and back.
Flight AI 466 flight will depart from here at 0600 hrs to arrive at Kochi at 0645 hrs. It will take off from Kochi at 0725 hrs to reach Delhi at 1025 hrs.
In the return direction, AI 048 flight will depart from Delhi at 1730 hrs to arrive at Kochi at 2030 hrs. It will take off from Kochi at 2115 hrs to land in Thiruvananthapuram at 2200 hrs.
The flight from Delhi will be international and will land in the new terminal on the city side.
International passengers arriving via Delhi to Thiruvananthapuram and Kochi can complete immigration and customs formalities at Kochi and Thiruvananthapuram and the baggage will be tagged accordingly.
MUMBAI-CHENNAI
There will be daily flights of A-320s by Air India from here to Mumbai and back and to Chennai and back on all days during the winter schedule.
AI 667 flight will depart from Mumbai at 0630 hrs from Thiruvananthapuram to reach Mumbai at 0835 hrs. In the return direction, AI 668 will take off from Mumbai at 0915 hrs to reach here at 1135 hrs.
In the Bangalore sector, AI 263 flight on all days will depart from there at 0830 hrs to arrive here at 0930 hrs.
In the return direction, AI 264 from Thiruvananthapuram will operate only on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
The flight on all six days will depart from Thiruvananthapuram at 1350 hrs to reach Bangalore at 1500 hrs.
On Tuesday, AI 264 will depart from Thiruvananthapuram at 1515 hrs to reach Chennai at 1630 hrs p.m.
