Ennore Port Ltd has surpassed the target of 16 million tonnes (mt) fixed by the Centre for the financial year 2012-13 on February 28. The target for the entire financial year was achieved one month prior to the close of the financial year. The cargo throughput at Ennore port is expected to reach an all-time record of 17 mt by the end of this financial year, a 14 per cent increase over last year’s handling of 14.96 mt of cargo, says an EPL press release.
